Hey Guys i apologize in advance as i bet every man and his dog does this but im struggling to find a tune for my 2012 storm no cat K&n filter short TORS im currently using the SLCHARGER REV 2 but find it shoots me forward when letting off the throttle when going slow around town and through slow corners {which scares the shit out of me} as the engine seems to keep going and no its not stuck or sticking throttle etc .Im wondering if it gets better with time ? Ive gone back to the standard triumph tune because the shooting forward is bad news, but if anyone has a fix or a good tune can you please help this poor kiwi boys

Ive been running SLCHARGERs tunes on my bike for the last couple of seasons and havent had this issue. I know he states to let the tune adapt for 500kms, have you done that ?

Also he has his original tune in the repository as well, maybe try switching to that tune and see if the problems persists

I'm not sure at what stage of development the REV2 tune was released as Kim's bike is far from stock so maybe as suggested above try his older one.

This is a second posting as I answered a question, but

This Saturday (the 25th) I will have the storm Dyno Tuned. The place is recommended highly, only about 1.5 hrs south of me. 2Wheel Dyno Works in Kirkland WA. No need for PC and only $500.00

Last night I took off that air channel under the seat. So, going in its got:

Hog slayers, Cat removed, K&N and the seat piece removed. will post TQ charts when I get it back.

Here they are doing a modified R3 Link
and THRUXTON Link

WEll I actually had to take it in a few days later, 4 bikes were in front of me. Then the 4th of July. I am hoping to to have it by the end of this week. They also agreed that I coulddo a Tea Room episode with walk through and chat with the main owners. So I am looking forward to it. Really interested to see how they will do with the delivery.

I picked it up today, small gains in TQ and power, huge gain in idle, smoothness and nice curve across the board.

Sorry but I have few basic questions:
- do you have a Power Commander V in your bike? Is it mandatory for dynamometer? A guy here is NY asked me 900 to install a PCV and put bike in a dynojet
- What mod do you suggest for same configuration.. storm hogslayers, British Customs kn air filter, decat.
Thank you.

NOpe, They saved me from having to buy a Power Commander. Here is the Email they initally sent me.

"Scott,

We're happy to help! There's no need for a Power Commander on these bikes, as we can do all of the tuning directly through the stock ECU.

The ECU flash and custom tuning on the dyno for these bikes is $499.99 and takes a couple of days. The initial read process on the ECU is very slow, so simply let us know when you'd like to drop off the bike and leave it with us and we'll be able to get it perfectly dialed in for you! - Nate."

I hope that helps. Saves you $$ from buying stuff you do not need.

They are probably using TuneEcu to do the tuning. Reading the ECU normally takes 20 - 30 minutes and a dyno tune about 4-6 hours.

Very interesting Mine is a 1600 with forans cat delete and opened air box with the seat duct removed.
And like Lee said, the Tuner used Tune ECU and it took about 4 - 5 hours I am very happy with it

I think that is exactly what they are using.
